Meet Our Founders!
CEYLAN DURU CAN
Ceylan Duru Can, born in Istanbul in 1975, brings a rich background in education and business to DDLC Academy. After her early education in Switzerland and college in the USA, she gained experience in tourism and investment consulting. Returning to Turkey, she led the family business, Duru Turizm, with her sister, Gonca. As a devoted mother of two, Ceylan’s passion for quality education led her to co-found DDLC Academy and introduce Sylvan Learning Center to Turkey, ensuring premier education for children.
GONCA DURU
Gonca Duru, born in 1979 in Istanbul, combines her educational achievements and management skills to enrich DDLC Academy. After attending Notre Dame de Sion French Girls High School, she graduated from Koç University. Her career in Duru Tourism has been marked by innovation in event and corporate travel, and a focus on educational seminars. Also a mother of two, Gonca co-founded Sylvan Learning Center with Ceylan, aiming to provide top-tier educational experiences.

Our journey, initially with Sylvan Learning, a globally recognized educational service with 60 years of history across 750 locations, has evolved into DDLC Academy.
